Several important James Bond props and costumes are to be auctioned in Los Angeles by PROPSTORE as part of their Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction from 15-18 August 2024. A four-day live-streamed event will sell iconic film and TV memorabilia including props and costumes from the James Bond films 1979-2021.

Listed below are some of the more significant James Bond related items, many of which have never been offered in auction before.

DAY 1 - August 15, 2024

Lot #176 - Q's (Desmond Llewelyn) Poncho Machine Gun Moonraker (1979)

Q's (Desmond Llewelyn) poncho machine gun from Moonraker (1979). At a casita of priests, Q demonstrated an array of his newest weapons for James Bond (Roger Moore), including a high-powered machine gun concealed beneath a poncho.

This metal machine gun originated from renowned UK armourer Bapty, who provided weapons for the film. It features 64 static metal barrels mounted to a swivelling base that moves up and down via a handle screwed in on either side. The gun's exterior is painted entirely bronze. It exhibits tarnishing and fading paint throughout. Dimensions: 13" X 11.25" X 8.75" (33 cm X 28.75 cm X 22.25 cm)

Lot #177 - Drax Enterprise Corporation Henchman's Helmet Moonraker (1979)

A Drax Enterprise Corporation henchman's Moonraker helmet from Moonraker (1979). The henchmen of evil industrialist Hugo Drax (Michael Lonsdale) minions wore their signature uniform helmets during the firefight of his Moonraker Space Shuttle.

This padded fibreglass motorcycle-style helmet with rubber ear holes is applied with a “Moonraker” decal on front, painted cream yellow with a banana yellow stripe down the centre, and affixed with a rubber and nylon chinstrap. The helmet exhibits staining and makeup residue on the interior from production wear as well as paint scuffing, peeling to its decal, and some discoloration from age.

Lot #178 - Drax Technician Jumpsuit Moonraker (1979)

A Drax technician's jumpsuit from Moonraker (1979). Hugo Drax's (Michael Lonsdale) henchmen wore their operator jumpsuits throughout the film while preparing to launch the Moonraker jet that would destroy Earth and humanity with nerve gas.

This yellow polyester zip-front jumpsuit hand-labelled “BARRY” on the interior features white rubber pipe trim along the pockets, zipper sleeves, and metal snap-button closures on its cinching belt and ankles. The jumpsuit exhibits minor discoloration and cracking material to the pipe trim.

Lot #179 - Kamal Khan's (Louis Jourdan) Jacket Octopuss* (1983)

Kamal Khan's (Louis Jourdan) jacket from Octopuss* (1983). Khan wore his distinctive jacket in promotional images and in several scenes throughout the film, including while telling James Bond (Roger Moore) that he has a “nasty habit of surviving.”

This pale beige synthetic-blend jacket features a mandarin collar, a fastening strip front closure, subtle vertical striping, and piping along the collar and cuffs. Following production, it underwent sympathetic restoration to remove staining impacting the lining, shoulders, and collar, as well as to replace disintegrated bias piping on the collar, and repair seams along the shoulders, arms, back, and interior. The lining seams of the shoulders and collar were stay-stitched to avoid further tearing on the interior. The jacket nonetheless exhibits some wear to the fabric from production and age.

Lot #180 - May Day's (Grace Jones) Costume A View To A Kill (1985)

May Day's (Grace Jones) costume from A View To A Kill (1985). May Day wore her costume during a butterfly performance where she used a rigged butterfly to murder Aubergine (Jean Rougerie) before being chased from the scene by James Bond (Roger Moore) to the top of the building where she dove off the side to escape.

Originating from CHRISTIE'S New York December 1995 Auction, this lot consists of a black polyester-suede jumpsuit featuring black leather straps at the ankles; and a pair of black leatherette shoes with matching black leatherette attachments that secure to itself with fastening strips when wrapped around the legs. This costume exhibits discoloration stains throughout.

Lot #181 - James Bond's (Pierce Brosnan) Stunt Leather Jacket Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)

James Bond's stunt leather jacket from Tomorrow Never Dies (1997). Pierce Brosnan wore his leather jacket when he took down a terrorist arms bazaar in the opening sequence.

Created by Angels and Bermans for Brosnan's stunt double, this brown leather jacket differs slightly at the buttons and stitching from the style seen on Brosnan in close-ups. It features a waist strap with a metal buckle and two front pockets on the exterior with an Angels and Bermans tag hand-marked “Bond 3” and a tag hand-marked “Stunt Man” sewn to the inner lining. The leather is intentionally distressed by production to appear as if it has seen action with scuffs, scratches, and discoloration applied throughout. It exhibits some tearing to the inner lining from wear.

Lot #184 - James Bond's (Daniel Craig) Whitehall/Tube Chase Suit Skyfall (2012)

James Bond's (Daniel Craig) suit from the chase scenes through the London Underground and Whitehall in Skyfall (2012). Bond chased Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem) through the London Underground and Whitehall after his escape from MI6, with Bond foiling Silva's assassination attempt on M (Judi Dench) at a Parliamentary inquiry.

Skyfall is widely considered to be one of the best Bond films made and was nominated for five Academy Awards, the most ever for a Bond film.

Fashion designer and film director Tom Ford designed Bond's suits in four films, starting with Quantum of Solace (2008), and all of Bond's clothing was custom-made for the film. The costume consists of a pinstripe suit jacket and matching pants; a light blue button-up shirt; and a tie. The jacket, pants, and shirt all feature interior labels that read either “Daniel Craig” or “D Craig,” and “Tom Ford” labels, and the jacket features an embroidered label in the interior chest pocket which reads “Bond 23.” The pants label has some handwritten size notes, believed to denote that they were lengthened specifically for the scenes when Bond is running down Whitehall.

The shirt is a slightly different style from the one seen in the film but is an original tailored for Craig as Bond, possibly from another film

Lot #1022 - James Bond's (Roger Moore) Prototype Vest Octopuss* (1983)

James Bond's prototype vest from Octopuss* (1983). Bond wore his vest when he broke into Octopuss*'s (Maud Adams) bedroom to discover her true identity and realized she was the daughter of Major Dexter-Smythe whom Bond had arrested in the past for treason.

The film won an award for Best Sound Editing at the Golden Reel Awards and Maud Adams was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress award during the 11th Annual Satellite Awards.

This prototype vest is made of brown polyester featuring two front pockets and a pen holder sleeve marked “R.C.C.” The vest exhibits discoloration stains, as well as a broken zipper track.

Two James Bond (Roger Moore) Sharper Image credit cards from the production of A View To A Kill (1985). Agent 007 used his Sharper Image credit card to unlock a window and gain entry to Stacey Sutton's (Tanya Roberts) house.

Created for production but ultimately unused in the final cut, each of these black- and gold-colour plastic The Sharper Image credit card faces is labelled “007” with card number ”5601210027538153” and expiration date “11/87” embossed on front. Also included are two black-and-white plastic card backings printed with Bond's “authorized signature” and labelled “property of The Sharper Image.” All four components are blank on the back and exhibit minor scratching. Dimensions: (each) 3.5" X 2.25" (9 cm X 5.75 cm)

A set of Casino de Isthmus City chips from Licence To Kill (1989). James Bond (Timothy Dalton) posed as a high roller while visiting the Casino de Isthmus City to catch drug baron Sanchez's (Robert Davi) attention.

These 22 colourful poker chips are made of plastic, with the casino name printed on them. Some also have printed values and five of them have been embellished with additional hand-painted colours. Dimensions (one chip): 1.5" X 1.5" (4 cm X 4 cm)

James Bond's (Pierce Brosnan) stunt revolver from Die Another Day (2002). Bond wielded his revolver while infiltrating the gene therapy clinic where Tang Lin Zao (Rick Yune) was having his appearance altered.

This lot consists of a black dense rubber revolver, modelled after a Smith & Wesson Model 10 HB, built around a metal core and featuring brown grips that resemble wood. It exhibits some grime, scuffing, and paint chipping from use and age, as well as chips in the rubber exposing the metal interior in the hammer. Dimensions: 9" x 5" X 1.5" (23 cm X 12.75 cm X 4 cm)

A set of four Body Worlds exhibition poker chips from Casino Royale (2006). James Bond (Daniel Craig) tracked Alex Dimitrios (Simon Abkarian) through Gunther Von Hagens’ world-famous Body Worlds exhibition in Miami, inside of which three bodies sat at a poker table set with chips.

This set consists of one red and black €5 chip; one green and yellow €25 chip; one blue and black €100 chip; and one red and white €500 chip. Each clay chip is labelled “Safechip by Bourgogne Et Grasset.” The chips exhibit minor scuffs and scratches from use and age. Dimensions: (each) 1.5" X 1.5" X 0.25" (4 cm X 4 cm X 0.75 cm)

Vesper Lynd's (Eva Green) HM treasury business card from Casino Royale (2006). Treasury agent Vesper Lynd handed her business card to Bond (Daniel Craig) during their initial meeting on the train to Montenegro.

Custom-printed for the production, the two identical business cards display several details printed in grey, including Lynd's name, her position as a HM Treasury International Liaison Officer, and faux telephone numbers and email addresses. Embossed metallic red lettering and a royal coat of arms feature at the top of both cards, which exhibit minor edge wear from production use. Dimensions: 2.25" X 3.25" (5.5 cm X 8.5 cm)

A hero Heracles serum vial from No Time To Die (2021). Heracles was a nano-weapon which targeted the victim's DNA and killed its targets in a matter of seconds. Dr. Valdo Obruchev (David Dencik) used the weapon to kill the SPECTRE command in Cuba. The clear acrylic tube has aluminium stoppers at each end and sparkling liquid at its core. Dimensions: 4.75" X 1" X 1" (12 cm X 2.2 cm X 2.2 cm)
